Miguel Velazquez Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash near Gianella Road

BUTTE COUNTY, CA (February 7, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 32 left one woman dead and Miguel Velazquez injured.

The incident occurred just after 3:00 p.m., near Gianella Road in Butte County.

According to reports, a 2002 Acura driving northbound on Highway 32 turned left at the eastbound lanes into the path of a 1999 Chevrolet truck. There, the Acura collided head-on with the truck. The impact of the collision caused the two occupants of the Acura to sustain injuries.

Emergency crews to the site of the crash pronounced the 22-year-old female passenger of the Acura dead at the scene. Meanwhile, another passenger in the Acura, 27-year-old Miguel Velazquez, sustained moderate injuries.

Following the collision, authorities closed the area on Highway 32 as crews investigated the incident. Butte County Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the Highway 32 two-vehicle crash.
