Fatal Collision on Camp Rock Road in Lucerne Valley

LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (October 27, 2021) A deadly crash on SR-247 in Lucerne Valley claimed the life of a woman from Alaska Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:02 p.m., on October 19. Dispatchers arrived to the scene along State Route 247 and Camp Rock Road shortly after.

Following investigations, officials determined that the crash involved a black Nissan Titan and a gray Dodge van. However, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear.

In addition, the San Bernardino County Fire department responded to the scene and declared one person dead due to the extent of their condition.

Meanwhile, another victim was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. A third victim was taken by ambulance, and was suffering from minor injuries.

Authorities later described the deceased victim as a 68-year-old female resident from Alaska. Although, her name has not been released.

No further details have been provided. However, Lucerne Valley officials are still investigating the SR-247 crash.
