Mother of Reckless Driver Dead after Colliding with Semi-Truck on Manning Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 19, 2023) – Early Friday morning, a woman was pronounced dead after an auto collision on McMullin Grade. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 5:00 a.m., July 14th, at Manning Avenue. Furthermore, the officers have learned that a 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by a 21-year-old man with his mother as an occupant ran over a red light. As a result, a semi-truck was unable to avoid the Dodge and slammed into it. Both the Dodge and the semi left the road and ended up in a vineyard. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the reckless driver was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center. It was unknown if the semi-truck driver suffered any injuries and he cooperated with the investigators.
