Fatal Accident near Santa Fe Avenue Results in Fatality

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 5, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, a 37-year-old woman was killed in an auto collision on 10 Freeway.

The crash took place shortly after 5:00 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the freeway. Officers arrived just west of Santa Fe Avenue, as per report.

Initially, there was a single-car collision, leaving a vehicle disabled in the traffic lanes.  According to the CHP, the driver of the disabled car fled the scene.

Afterwards, a 51-year-old man driving a 2006 BMW 328i struck the disabled car. His passenger, a Baldwin Park woman, was brought to the same hospital and died as a result of her injuries.

At this time, no further information has been released.
