32-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Collision near Nimitz Boulevard

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 5, 2022) – Late Tuesday evening, a woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Harbor Drive.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m., at the intersection of Harbor Drive and Nimitz Boulevard. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to investigators, a 32-year-old woman was speeding westbound on Harbor Drive. There, she failed to stop at a red light and broad-sided a southbound SUV on Nimitz Boulevard.

Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after and transported the woman to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Meanwhile, the 32-year-old male SUV driver did not sustain any injuries.

Following preliminary duties, San Diego officials believe that alcohol or impairment may have been a factor in the collision. At this time, authorities are continuing to investigate the Harbor Drive two-vehicle crash.
