Female Pedestrian Hospitalized after Collision on Espee Street

BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 17, 2021)  – One woman suffered injuries Sunday afternoon following a pedestrian hit-and-run on Espee Street.

The collision occurred just before 4:00 p.m., in the 700 block of Espee Street. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and discovered a woman with major injuries after a possible hit-and-run collision. Responding medics transported the woman to the hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver reportedly fled from the scene. At this time, officials have not released descriptions of the driver and the suspect vehicle.

Bakersfield police are asking anybody with information to reach out to their office at 661-327-7111. An active investigation is still currently underway.
