Female Pedestrian Hospitalized after Collision near Norcross Lane

OAKLEY, CA (December 9, 2022) – Tuesday night, a woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run on Main Street.

Dispatchers responded to the scene around 7:10 p.m., near Norcross Lane on November 29th.

According to reports, the driver of an eastbound silver Honda Pilot SUV struck a female pedestrian on Norcross Lane. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without contacting police.

Paramedics transported the injured woman to a nearby hospital for further treatment of head and arm injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

On Wednesday, police eventually located the driver of the involved vehicle. As a result, she was arrested and taken into custody. Once available, further details will be provided about the pedestrian hit-and-run on Main Street.

A driver must stop and take certain actions when involved in a motor vehicle accident that results in property damage or injury to another party. When involved in an accident, call 911 and render aid to anyone who may be injured while waiting for the police to arrive.
