61-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after E-Bike Crash on Breakwater Road

CARLSBAD, CA (October 3, 2022) – Early Wednesday night, a woman was injured in an e-bicycle accident on Ponto Drive.

The incident happened around 5:25 p.m., near the intersection of Carlsbad Boulevard and Breakwater Road.

First responders located the severely injured woman who was riding an electric bicycle down on the road. Although, the events leading up to the collision remain unknown.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the 61-year-old woman to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. However, police have not yet released her name or place of residency.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
