Woman Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Collision near Meridian Road

CHICO, CA (November 2, 2021) A woman sustained injuries Wednesday morning, in a t-bone crash on Highway 32 near Meridian Road.

The accident happened just before 7:00 a.m. on October 27. Emergency crews arrived at the intersection shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Responding California Highway Patrol officers received reports regarding a collision between a Jeep Wrangler and a Dodge Durango.

According to police, the Jeep was heading south on Meridian and came to a halt at the stop sign. Meanwhile, the Durango driver was heading east on Highway 32 when the two collided.

Due to the impact, the Jeep rolled over and hit a nearby fence. Authorities then located the vehicle upside down in front of a home, adjacent to Highway 32.

Paramedics transported a female victim with moderate injuries to a local hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, officers said the occupants inside the Durango did not sustain any injuries.

CHP will release additional information once it becomes available, however an active investigation is still underway.
