One Woman Hurt after Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on 11th Street

MERCED, CA (September 7, 2021) – One unidentified woman sustained injuries Sunday evening after a pedestrian hit-and-run on 11th Street in south Merced.

The accident happened around 11:15 p.m. August 29, in the area of 11th Street and S Street.

According to reports, suspect vehicle is described as a black truck of unknown make or model, and the driver left the scene after hitting the unidentified woman.

Paramedics located the woman with moderate injuries and airlifted her to a Modesto hospital for treatment.

At this time, authorities are still looking for the suspect driver and asks anyone who witness the crash to call the Merced Police Department at 209-385-6905 and ask for Officer N. Martinez.

However, an active investigation is underway. Further information will be posted once it is available.
