Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Camelback Road

PHOENIX, AZ (November 18, 2022) – Sunday evening, a woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on 7th Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m., near Camelback Road on November 13th after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

According to reports, a female pedestrian was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle.

Emergency responders arrived and transported the woman to a nearby hospital where she later died. Although, the identity of the deceased victim was not released. Crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

Following preliminary duties, impairment was not believed to be a factor of the pedestrian accident on 7th Avenue. No addition information was provided by the authorities and an active investigation is still underway.
