Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run near Westmoreland Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 5, 2023) – Tuesday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on 1st Street. Authorities responded to the scene around 5:15 a.m., near Westmoreland Avenue in Koreatown. Per reports, the driver of an eastbound 2005 silver Nissan Altima struck a female pedestrian and immediately fled the scene. First responders arrived and rushed the woman to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.
