Deadly Pedestrian Accident near Murray Ridge Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 28, 2021) -Wednesday night, an unidentified woman was fatally struck by a car on Interstate 805.

Initially, the woman’s 2-door Ford veered into the center median wall while traveling northbound. Officers arrived just south of Murray Ridge Road around 11:55 P.M.

According to the CHP, the woman exited her vehicle and was then struck by a Toyota sedan.

As a result, the woman ended up in the southbound lanes of the interstate. First responders arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested the 24-year-old Toyota Driver for suspected DUI of alcohol or drugs.

San Diego Officials are working to identify further factors that contributed to the fatal crash on Interstate 805.

At this time, the identity of the deceased female victim remains unavailable, pending notification from her relatives.
