Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Crash near Grand Avenue

GROVER BEACH, CA (January 16, 2023) – Wednesday night, one woman was fatally injured in a pedestrian accident on 7th Street.

Police officers responded to the scene just after 7:00 p.m., near Grand Avenue after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a woman in the area. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced her dead.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Following preliminary duties, police determined that alcohol or drugs did not play a factor.

At this time, authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim or the involved driver.
