Female Victim Killed in Auto Collision on Camino Vida Roble

CARLSBAD, CA (May 25, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, one woman was pronounced dead after a car accident on El Camino Real.

The auto collision occurred just before 6:30 a.m., at the intersection of El Camino Real and Camino Vida Roble.

According to reports, the woman was driving north on El Camino Real at a high rate of speed and struck a traffic signal pole on the northeast curb.

Due to the impact of the collision, the woman was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Carlsbad firefighters. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

At this time, an active investigation remains ongoing. Once available, further details will be provided.
