40-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Collision on State Route 1

MALIBU, CA (February 10, 2022) – Monday evening, a woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

According to the police, the incident happened around 6:39 p.m., at 20351 on State Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway).

Per reports, the woman was attempting to cross the street when she was hit by a passing vehicle. First responders arrived and transported the 40-year-old woman to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Crews determined that the woman crossed the road outside of a marked crosswalk in a dark area.
