Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on L Street

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 19, 2022) – Early Friday morning, one woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on California Avenue.

The collision took place just after 5:15 a.m., at the intersection of California Avenue and L Street on August 19th.

Per reports, a female pedestrian attempted to cross California Avenue at a red light. As a result, she was struck by an oncoming vehicle that had the right of way on a green light.

Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced the woman dead on the scene. No other injuries were reported and it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
