Traffic Collision near Avenue H Left One Fatality

LANCASTER, CA (February 22, 2022) – An unidentified woman lost her life on Monday in a multi-vehicle crash on the 14 Freeway.

The tragic accident happened at 12:07 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley 14 Freeway, south of Avenue H.

According to the initial reports, the collision involved multiple vehicles but the reasons behind the collision are still unknown.

Additionally, a news videographer at the scene said one of the motorists drove the wrong way on the Freeway.

Tragically, officers arrived and declared one woman dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert, closing all northbound lanes at Avenue H and allowing motorists to re-enter the freeway at Avenue G.

Meantime, officers continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash and will release additional information once it becomes available.
