Woman Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near New Stine Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 1, 2023) – Late Wednesday morning, one woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on Ming Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 11:28 a.m., on the 5500 block of Ming Avenue near New Stine Road on August 30th.

According to reports, a westbound motorcyclist collided with an SUV that was making a left turn from eastbound Ming Avenue.

Responding paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, the SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Police shut down Ming Avenue from New Stine Road to Westholme Boulevard for several hours as crews cleared the scene. The Bakersfield Police Department is asking anyone with information about the fatal auto-motorcycle crash to contact them at (661) 327-7111.
