Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident on Dale Street

STANTON, CA (March 11, 2022) – A hit-and-run collision on Cerritos Avenue claimed the life of a 68-year-old woman, Friday night.

The fatal crash happened at around 8:45 p.m. on March 4, at the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Dale Street.

According to reports, a woman was walking in a crosswalk in the area when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. However, further events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

Responding paramedics arrived and took the woman to a nearby hospital where she later died. Although, authorities withheld her name and age until her next of kin are notified.

Meanwhile, police said the driver did not stop and fled the scene immediately. Police said the suspect vehicle is described as small and possible dark green.
