Teen Suspected of Driving Under Influence, Killing Woman on Dunlap Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (October 5, 2021) – A woman was killed, and a teen was suspected of driving under the influence after a collision on 31st Avenue.

An SUV driven by a teenager smashed into a brick wall around 9:00 a.m., near Dunlap and 31st Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the area shortly after being dispatched to the scene.

Two women were inside the vehicle, as well as the teen driver. One woman was killed, and the other was hospitalized in critical condition.

The surrounding area near the intersection was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties.

Following investigations, impairment is currently believed to be a factor in the collision. However, it is unclear what charges the teen driver will face.

At this time, the identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed.
