Several Injured in Auto Collision near 59th Avenue

GLENDALE, AZ (March 8, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a multi-car accident on Grand Avenue left one woman dead and several injured.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred just west of 59th Avenue near Myrtle Avenue, shortly before 7:00 a.m.

Per reports, the driver of a Nissan Altima was heading northwest on Grand Avenue and collided with a white Jeep Cherokee. The impact pushed both vehicles directly into the path of a motorcycle and Chevrolet Equinox.

Paramedics arrived and declared a woman inside the Nissan Altima dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medical personnel transported a motorcyclist wearing a helmet to a nearby hospital.

Crews also took the other four other victims to a hospital with moderate injuries. Although, their identities were not made available. Police did confirm that they were all adults.

The crash closed Grand Avenue in both directions for several hours, before it reopened shortly before 2:00 p.m. At this time, an active investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
