Female Victim Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident on 7th Street near McDowell Road

PHOENIX, AZ (February 13, 2023) – Late Saturday night, one woman was killed and a man was injured after a hit-and-run on 7th Street. The incident occurred just before midnight on February 4th when officers arrived at McDowell Road and found three vehicles involved in an accident. According to responding officers, a gold-colored vehicle was found with a man and woman occupants that sustained serious injuries. In addition, both of them were transported to a nearby hospital where the woman was pronounced dead. Furthermore, a white-colored vehicle was found with no occupant and a man fled the scene in a separate vehicle. Also, a third vehicle was involved and the driver did not sustain any injuries. Investigation showed that the gold-colored vehicle ran over a red light traveling north on 10th Street and crashed into the white vehicle traveling east on McDowell Road. No arrests or citations have been made and further investigation into the hit-and-run crash on 7th Street is still underway.
