Female Pedestrian Killed in Semi-Truck Collision near Favretto Avenue

REDDING, CA (November 22, 2022) – Saturday evening, one woman was fatally struck by a big-rig on State Street.

Police responded to the scene around 8:19 p.m., just west of Favretto Avenue on November 19th. 

According to reports, a woman was in a tent on State Street when a semi-truck collided with the tent. Upon arrival, officers located the woman inside the tent underneath the big-rig.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity. 

Meanwhile, the 62-year-old male truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

No further details regarding the State Street big-rig accident have been released to the public; however, Redding Officials will provide more information once available.
