40-Year-Old Woman Dies, Child Injured in Auto Accident near Embarcadero

OAKLAND, CA (September 12, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, one woman was killed and two were injured in a car crash on Dennison Street.

The incident happened around 12:12 p.m., on the 1900 block of Dennison Street near Embarcadero on September 3rd.

For reasons under investigation, a man lost control of a vehicle and collided with a parked semi-truck. Upon impact, the 40-year-old female passenger suffered fatal injuries.

In addition, medics transported the 35-year-old male driver and a 3-year-old boy to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Crews closed down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Meanwhile, police have yet to identify if alcohol, drugs, or speed were the factors of the crash. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
