When it comes to celebrity chefs, there may be no bigger star than Wolfgang Puck, who's been stepping outside the kitchen to entertain as well as raise money for charity for most of his career. For that reason, he'll be very much in his element hosting the 28th Annual American Wine & Food Festival taking place this weekend.

Puck and his crew will take over the Universal Studios backlot on Saturday, September 25th for an evening of tasting, wine pairing and music, as well as an auction, with proceeds benefiting L.A.'s Meals on Wheels programs. This event has raised more that $15 million for Meals on Wheels since it first began in 1982.

Chefs cooking on Saturday night include David Myers of Comme Ça, Mark Peel of Campanile and The Tar Pit, Thomas Keller of Bouchon, Nancy Silverton and Dahlia Narvaez of Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza, as well as many others, with dozens of local wines served alongside.

Tickets are $300 and can be purchased at the event's website. VIP tickets, which include a cooking demonstration by Puck, can be purchased by calling Joan Wrede at (310) 574-3663. For those looking to go even a step further, the Chefs Grand Tasting Dinner follows on Sunday night, with 6 celebrated chefs each turning out one course at Spago Beverly Hills. Tickets are $750 and can be purchased by calling Ellen Farentino at (310) 385-0880.
