First True Blood got it's own drink, now comes news that HBO's newest action-packed hit Game of Thrones will be getting its own signature beverage, with some help from New York-based craft beermaker Brewery Ommegang.

According to The New York Times, the first beer will called the “Iron Throne Blonde Ale,” and will appear before March 31, just in time for the the shows' much-anticipated Season 3 premiere.

The beer will be sold in 750ml bottles for a retail price of $8.50, Ommegang said in a press release, with plans to distribute the draft beer nationally in the weeks after the show's premiere.

Plans are also in the works for at least three other Game of Thrones beers this year which, according to Ommegang, “directly tie into themes, characters and nuances of the medieval-like fantasy realm of Westeros and the surrounding kingdoms, where the competition to sit on the Iron Throne is fierce and deadly.”

Can we expect Riverrun Red Ale, Lannister Lager, or Iron Islands IPA? The possibilities are as vast as the sands of the Red Waste. Share your own Game of Thrones beer ideas in the comments.
