42-Year-Old Rider Dies in Fatal Motorcycle Accident near Foothill Freeway

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 27, 2021) – William Seidel Jr., 42, of Stevenson Ranch, died in a motorcycle accident on 5 Freeway early Sunday morning.

The collision happened about 5:24 a.m., on the northbound lanes, just north of the Foothill Freeway. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Seidel was traveling north on the highway in a 2000 Honda CBR 600. For reasons unknown, he collided with a pickup truck while changing lanes.

As a result of the impact, Seidel was ejected from the motorbike and was hit by passing vehicles. Despite life-saving efforts, Seidel was pronounced dead by medics on scene.

The surrounding area was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened to traffic.

In addition, California Highway Patrol urges anyone with information about the crash to call them immediately.
