Head-On Collision on 91 Freeway Results in One Fatality and Two Injuries

ANAHEIM, CA (July 9, 2021) – Tuesday morning, William Hattar and Kara Trisha Giacone were injured in a deadly wrong-way crash on 91 Freeway.

The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of 91 Freeway. Dispatchers arrived near the Harbor Boulevard off-ramp.

Reports indicate that a westbound Dodge Dakota pickup-truck entered the eastbound side of the highway. As a result, the Dodge collided head-on with a Honda Accord occupied by a male and a female.

Eventually, medical personnel arrived and pronounced the female driver of the pickup-truck dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, emergency responders transported the driver and the passenger of the Toyota to a hospital with major injuries.

Later on, authorities identified the occupants of Toyota as 23-year-old William Yousef Hattar & 18-year-old Kara Trisha Giacone.

Officials later shut down three lanes of 91 Freeway until after the investigation.

At this time, the Anaheim police are investigating the circumstances that led to the wrong-way crash.
