40-Year-Old Man Killed in Collision near Avenue A

ROSAMOND, CA (October 19, 2021) – Thursday evening, 40-year-old William Francis LaValley was killed in a car crash on Highway 14.

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m., on the highway just north of Avenue A. Emergency crews arrived to the area shortly after.

Per reports, the driver of a Chevrolet pickup-truck struck the rear of a semi-truck. Upon impact, the pickup-truck rolled several times on the road.

When officers arrived, they located the overturned truck in the center divider with the two front tires missing. Towing services were required to remove the vehicle from the scene.

Due to the impact of the crash, medics pronounced LaValley dead at the scene.

Moreover, the surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened to traffic.

At this time, no further details have been released about the Highway 14 crash.
