Three-Vehicle Collision near Van Buren Boulevard Left One Fatality

RIVERSIDE, CA (March 10, 2022) A three-vehicle crash on Jurupa Avenue claimed the life of William Castro on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the report, Riverside Fire Department paramedics responded to the incident that happened at 12:30 pm at Jurupa Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard.

Sgt. Ryan Wilson stated that a 36-year-old Banning man riding westbound in a Dodge Durango SUV struck a Honda Accord for reasons unknown.

Afterwards, the SUV hit a Toyota Scion crossing the southbound lanes of Van Buren.

Paramedics rushed the Honda driver, identified as 28-year-old William Castro, to Riverside Community Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the Dodge and the Scion driver did not require hospitalization, authorities said.

At this time, Riverside Officials continue to investigate the three-vehicle crash. Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
