With an ability to make a sincere and strong connection with anyone in all aspects of the restaurant business — from the investors to the chef to the busboys to the customers — Makris rose to the top of some of the most successful hospitality groups such as Provocateur, Butter, as well as Tao Group. While this gave Makris much-needed experience, he always aspired for greater heights. Makris is now an established restaurant entrepreneur with no plans of slowing down. Beyond new endeavors, Makris also plans to double down on the success he has already found with his Lola Taverna and little Prince ventures. Makris and Levy, his partner in both aforementioned restaurants, are genuinely expanding these bonafide NYC stalwarts to even larger and more luxurious spaces.

Makris’s tenacity and ability to network put him in the position he is in today, which is why he is staying honoring those roots. Getting creative with their outdoor dining options as well as utilizing their celebrity and socialite network to boost their social media presence, Makris and Levy have actually been able to grow Lola Taverna’s business throughout the pandemic.

Due to their unparalleled success during these times, the forward-thinking Makris has plans to expand the restaurant to other cities such as Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
