Music, food and stories are often linked, but for chef and restaurateur David Myers, that combination has taken a new twist. His Melrose Avenue brasserie comme Ça recently started New Wine Tuesdays, inspired in part by music, technology and a love for good narrative.

“I've always been intrigued by Apple's New Music Tuesdays, and I thought how fun that would be to do with wine,” Myers says. “If we help our customers out a little bit, and showcase three wines a week with some stories, it's a good way to get them to go out on limb and have some fun.”

As for the Wine Tuesdays agenda, Myers has a game plan. The restaurant will “feature some biodynamic producers, unique roses, and showcase some California roses to pair them off each other” too, for some friendly terroir competition. Tonight's lineup looks at the 'Red, White and Pink' of Southern Rhône, with examples of each.

But the wine program won't just be limited to this season. “The next step is to include three dishes to go with the wine and do that throughout the year,” Myers says.
