Everything that glitters is not …

Though this year Whitney Houston seemed to be basking in the glow of at least a physical comeback, her representative told CNN this morning that the singer has entered rehab yet again.

“I can confirm that Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment,” Kristen Foster said. “Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process.”

No details on why she checked back into a program were divulged, but the announcement might explain the “illness” that forced her to postpone shows in Europe last year on her disastrous “Nothing But Love” tour.

Houston reportedly entered rehab ten days ago, and is allowed to come and go (like to one of Prince's shows at the Forum last week) as long as she has a monitor.

In a 2009 interview with Oprah, Houston elaborated on her bouts of treatment in 2005 and 2006 for an alleged addiction to crack cocaine.

Here's hoping this time rehab's just a preventative measure.
