A legendary performance-art queen and an up-and-coming pop princess bring a special allure to two of L.A.’s wildest dance clubs this week. If you missed the debut party for “Arias With a Twist,” NYC-bred drag wonder Joey Arias’ collab with marionette master Basil Twist and designer Thierry Mugler this week at REDCAT (the show runs through Dec. 13), you still have a chance to bask in the bodacious one’s presence at Shits & Giggles. The pansexual discotheque will pay tribute to Arias, who’ll make an appearance as well. Festivities will also include a DJ set by Steven Hawley (front man for electro-funkster faves Codebreaker) along with in-house floor freakers Victor Rodriguez and Chris Bowen, guest host Terry T. (Miss Honey, S.F.) plus London Fierce (L.A.) & Lady Bear (S.F.) glossing up the stage at midnight. 3100 Club, 659 S. Westmoreland Ave., L.A.; Fri., Nov. 20. myspace.com/shitsandgigglesla. Saturday, pop-tastic Weho boy haven Cherry Pop gets some extra fizz thanks to a (real) femme dance artist, singer Erika Jayne, who’ll perform tracks from her debut, Pretty Mess, including a sure-to-be-appreciated cover of Apollonia’s “Sex Shooter.” Ultra Suede, 661 N. Robertson Blvd., W. Hlywd.; Sat., Nov. 21. factorynightclub.com.
