Tonight is La Notte di Fantasmi — “Ghost Night,” as it is known — and it's a night that Nora Keyes and Paul Koudounaris have put together to expose you to a world that all your atheist friends will laugh at you for checking out. Special guests include Cristofer Sanders, host of A&E BIO's My Ghost Story, and Koudounaris (who wrote last year's bonehouse breakthrough The Empire of Death), lecturing about Sicilian sex ghosts. In case all you knew about sex ghosts was seeing the one that mauled Barbara Hershey's chest in The Entity, you're in for a treat. Koudounaris' sex ghosts include phantom gynecologist Il Pervertito Medico; panty-stealing phantom Il Postino; and La Vedova, an abused woman who came back from the dead to mortally sodomize her brutal husband with a candlestick holder. Also on the bill: award-winning country music musician Dan Janisch singing about phantoms and Russian diva Zoetica Ebb discussing Russian ghosts. If you go and die tonight, you become a ghost — and not just socially. Hyperion Tavern, 1941 Hyperion Ave., Silver Lake; Wed., June 13, 10 p.m.; free. (323) 665-1941, hyperiontavern.com.
