Where the Chefs Eat is an ongoing series in which we ask a local chef to give us his or her favorite dining options. This week, we talk to Brandon Boudet, chef at Dominick's, Little Dom's, The 101 Coffee Shop and Tom Bergin's Tavern.

“I'm a fan of Harold & Belle's in South Los Angeles on Jefferson Blvd. I go there when I'm feeling homesick and need some hearty New Orleans food, like a big bowl of gumbo. This place totally reminds me of home. Everything from the food, service and atmosphere make me feel like I just walked into a neighborhood restaurant in New Orleans.

Erewhon's juice bar on Beverly Blvd. is also a favorite of mine. I spend a lot of time in my car driving to all the restaurants, and Erewhon's is right in the middle of all of them. I swear by the cold and flu line-up, especially when I feel that cold or flu coming on. It's kinda pricey ($25), but it works every time. Also, when I just want to give myself a little boost of energy, the Tonic Herb Chocolate Ice Cream is the perfect lunch substitute.”
