Okay, so maybe Julie & Julia isn't the duck confit in your cassoulet that everybody wanted it to be. C'est fromage. The TV spelunkers at the Paley Center have dug up hours of classic Julia Child doing what she did best — cooking and talking. In Child's Play in the Kitchen: The Remarkable Career of Julia Child, they've put together some highlights from her show, including a clip from 1963, when she makes chicken (try to forget Dan Ackyroyd's impression) with a vegetables and risotto recipe from The French Chef. The Paley Center for Media, 465 N. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills; Sat.-Sun., 2:15 p.m., thru Aug. 23. (310) 786-1000 .

Wednesdays-Sundays, 12:15 p.m. Starts: July 22. Continues through Aug. 23, 2009
