As if you don't have better things to worry about — unemployment, global warming, the latest revelation on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — L.A. County health officials report that more bed bugs are invading the metropolis, particularly the tonier parts of town.

L.A. County officials have recorded about 55 reports a month of area bed bug citings recently, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The infestation of bed bugs, known for taking over New York City beds and pillows, has even targeted the homes of the rich and famous in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Holmby Hills.

Isotech Pest Management reported that it has already paid a visit to at least one Beverly Hills retailer.

“We're going to see such an influx of bedbugs in stores that it's going to catch a lot of people off guard,” co-owner Mike Masterson told the Times.

We'll survive. At least our bed bugs have the class to choose nice, high-thread-count linens to call home.
