Leave it to L.A. to come up with a luxury spin on food trucks. The inaugural Truckit Fest rolls into Union Station with 40 of your favorite meals on wheels to indulge your palate-pleasing proclivities. Financially strapped foodies can still stand in line the old-fashioned way, but for an additional charge, there's table service. Yup, those who purchase a VIP ticket will get valet parking, a $10 food voucher, early entrance and access to a private lounge where they can order from any truck and have their selections served tableside. But not to worry. Everyone, whether sitting or standing, has equal access to all the trucks, including the Munchie Machine, Crepes Bonaparte, Ahn-Joo, Border Grill, Barbie's Q, the Yummy One, Sweets Truck, Slammin' Sliders, Krazy BBQ, Mandoline Grill, the Greasy Wiener and Komodo. While you're feeding your face, there will be bands galore, 200 vendors selling jewelry and crafts, and a rock-climbing wall to burn off all the calories consumed. Since this is the kickoff for a monthly event, you can always return on the first Sunday of every month for more.(866)966-9495
