You know the feeling: You're in your car, and a pack of those beer logo-emblazoned, black-spandexed, Lance Armstrong wannabes are dead ahead, hogging the streets and hoping to test your road-rage limits to the max. Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. The Santa Monica Museum of Art is offering a safe opportunity to do so by combining an art workshop with a bike tour of local arts venues. Called Cause for Creativity: Tour da Arts, the eight-mile trip will be led by certified cycling instructors, who will expertly steer you away from all those self-entitled gas-guzzlers for a leisurely ride through Santa Monica. It starts at the museum and stops for craft making, live entertainment, interactive workshops, venue tours and sustenance at the Broad Stage, Miles Playhouse, 18th Street Arts Center and then takes you back to the museum. BYOB (that's bike) or pre-register to rent a free bike (limited supply available). Participants younger than 18 must be escorted by an adult.
