Monday, August 26

In the midst of the dog days of summer, National Dog Day is around the corner.  On Monday, August 26, two of L.A.’s dining destinations are showing a little extra love to our doggie pals with free treats.

Tucked away on a bustling stretch of West Third Street with a narrow cave-like entrance, Bacari W 3rd  already has a canine menu for your puppy pal, but on National Dog Day they will be offering free peanut butter cookies for all doggie diners.

If you are accompanied by a pooch on Monday, The Henry will be handing out free house made pumpkin and peanut butter dog treats, a one-time special baked up just for doggy day.

Shop Around is coming to The Spare Room at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel  from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. with Alex Rodriguez, famous for his record store pop up at Coachella. He works with the owner of Goldenvoice and travels all over the US to collect records to sell at his Coachella pop up and his brick & mortar record store, Glass House Record Store.

Alex will be spinning vinyl all night long while guests dance, drink and bowl. Hear a song you love? You can bring it home with you as Alex will also be selling the records he’s spinning that night. Also, Alex is sober so The Spare Room’s beverage director Yael Vengroff is running a non-alcoholic drink special by partnering with Seedlip to offer the Nada Colada for only $5 (regularly $10).
