Pizza lovers of all sizes can celebrate #NationalPizzaPartyDay and the 25th anniversary of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story with plenty of at-home activities and merchandise to help bring Pizza Planet from Toy Story to your kitchen. The Grove‘s Main Street will open to vehicles and welcome visitors this weekend to drive through the property for the first time in its history. For the past 18 years, the property’s trolley has been the only vehicle to putter through its famous streets, but on Saturday Rosewood Miramar Beach will bring its Miramar To-Go food truck to Los Angeles for a throwback drive-in experience.
Available for “drive-thru” service only, guests will be able to cruise through The Grove Street and take in the property’s fountain show and music from a new perspective while picking up chef Massimo Falsini’s menu of resort favorites served up drive-in style. The menu features Hank’s famous Double Diamond burger, tacos, fried chicken sandwiches, salads, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Purest tasting still and sparkling water in flavors such as Sicilian lemon and Bulgarian elderflower will also be available for purchase as well as kid’s meals which include a special memento from Rosewood Miramar Beach.
As part of the #MiramarOnTheMove initiative, for every meal sold during this one-day event, the company will donate a meal to Para Los Niños, the skid row-based nonprofit that provides education and wraparound support to over 6,000 of the county’s most vulnerable children and families each year.

All Summer Long
For parents who are on the lookout for new ways to make a lockdown summer enjoyable and engaging for kids, Baketivity has launched a baking camp for kids. Bake-A-Camp campers will get a big baking box featuring four themed kits with pre-measured ingredients, step by step instructions, and an activity book, all you need are the eggs, oil and water. Each week’s kit will take campers through progressively advanced recipes and techniques as they explore one theme, or cuisine throughout the month. With hands-on instructions, behind-the-science tips, and easy-to-read baking guides, Bake-A-Camp can give any child the skills and confidence to bake like a pro:
Week one kicks off with the first recipe for chocolate caramel nuggets. Week two gets a little more intermediate with cream puffs, followed by the chocolate log kit and whipped gourmet cupcake kit. Bake-A-Camp is a one-time skill-building box containing four individual baking boxes, focusing on teaching and experimenting with the building blocks of baking and kitchen know-how for kids ages 6-11.
