California’s largest annual Hispanic food and beverage trade show Comida ¡EXPO! Los Angeles takes place June 13-14, 2019 in downtown Los Angeles, featuring tasting tents, workshops hosted by popular L.A. Latin TV host, chef and author Sindy Lazo. Vendors on hand include Aveníu Brands, Sunora Bacanora, Nuca Craft Beer and Jugo Fuerte.

Spring Place is bringing Michelin-starred New York restaurant Marea to Los Angeles for an exclusive three-day culinary pop-up experience, June 13-15. Marea, owned by Altamarea Group, is celebrating their 10-year anniversary, and Spring Place will bring to life the first West Coast iteration of the restaurant.

Marea’s authentic  flavors of coastal Italy will be featured at Spring Place Beverly Hills for lunch and dinners and will include many of the New York flagship’s signature dishes, including antipasti dishes such as astice (nova scotia lobster, burrata, eggplant al funghetto, basil), handmade pastas such as fusilli (red wine braised octopus, bone marrow), and entrée dishes such as gamberi (grilled red prawns, salsa verde, arugula).

Saturday June 15th through June Sunday, June 23rd

As part of L.A. Beer Week, the Second Annual Torrance Beer Run takes place in the South Bay and encourages participants to visit all 11 Torrance breweries and complete a beer stamp card. Beer stamp cards will be available for pick-up starting June 15 at all participating breweries. Upon getting a stamp from all 11 breweries any time during L.A. Beer Week, participants will receive a limited-edition Torrance Beer Run T-shirt. Participants must turn in their completed card at HopSaint Brewing Company or Smog City Brewing Company to get a shirt. Shirts and sizes are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Wednesday June 19

Downtown Culver City’s annual Third Wednesday tasting series is back, with three crowd-pleasing tasting events on the third Wednesdays of June, July and August.

This year’s “Taste of Summer” includes the popular Spiked Lemonade Tasting on June 19; SummerTini Tasting on July 17; and Spiked Tropical Punch Tasting on Aug. 21.

Admission and tastings are free, with virgin options always available. Look for the balloons to identify participating restaurants, bars and retail outlets throughout the Downtown area. Each participating business will have a unique and delicious sample to try.

Make your way from one end of Culver City’s walkable downtown area to the other and enjoy live music in the streets along the way. At the end of each evening, turn in your passport to vote for your favorite mixology recipe and be entered in a raffle to win summertime prizes.
