We caught up with Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp Thursday during a surprise visit to Bank of America in Burbank where he had been invited to come out and greet people. A way for Bank of America to thank their customers.

Everyone was ecstatic, some even nearly to tears. An older man literally leapt with joy when Kemp handed him tickets behind home plate. Everyone's excitement was well justified, Kemp is one of the hottest players in the league right now and a hometown favorite.

We all know Kemp is a killer player. What you may not know, is that he's also a huge music fan.

“Music is everything! I'm always listening to music. The first thing I do in the morning when I wake up is reach for my iPod.”

He has a laundry list of favorites and it's impossible to name them all. “I love R&B, old school, new school, I love it all.”

He's also learning guitar-we think we even have his first band photo, the classic “in front of a brick wall” shot. Hey Kemp, you just let us know when you're ready, you can join our band any day.

“Music can make you happy, it can make you mad,” he pauses, “it makes me happy, it calms me before a game.”

Oh and speaking of games, what is his walk up song? Make that walk up songs, there are two.

Ace Hood – Hustle Hard

Welcome to My Hood – DJ Khaled

A few of his favorite artists after the jump:

Tank – Make You Love Me

Ne-Yo – Closer

Brian McKnight – Anytime
