Why do the problems and longings of free-range New York City dwellers always seem more profound than anyone else's? Writer/director Nicole Holofcener (Friends With Money, Lovely and Amazing, Walking and Talking) again mines the minds of malcontents in her latest film, Please Give . “Your guilt is warping you,” is one line of dialogue that sings from the film's trailer.
