We know how you typical LA Weekly readers would answer that annual, couch-potato's question, What time is the Super Bowl?

4:20!

Given that the teams are from America's first recreational-marijuana states, Colorado and Washington, we wouldn't blame you for passing a bowl in honor of a Seattle-Denver match-up.

But no, the Super Bowl does not “spark up” at 4:20, at least not the one with the football players:

Super Bowl XLVIII starts with kickoff scheduled for 3:25 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. It will be aired on Fox (KTTV channel 11 locally).

The National Anthem commences at 3:15 p.m.

According to Fox, however, you can make a day of it. Coverage begins at a sobering 7 a.m., with the official pregame show starting at 11 a.m., according to the network.

The teams will start warming up at 2:15 p.m. Halftime is expected to happen at 5:15 p.m. (in case  you're planning on getting those bowls recharged).

L.A. locals Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will entertain during the halftime show.

Enjoy. Try not to lose all your money. Drive sober. Or don't drive at all.
