Move over, Espresso Martini – The Porn Star Martini has arrived and made its debut last week at West Hollywood’s new neighborhood watering hole next to Prince Street Pizza.  The Bar Next Door is tucked inside the landmarked  Streamline Modern Sentney building, located at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Cory Avenue designed by Ronald Webb and built by Ralph Sentney in 1938. It housed the Cukor Lipton Agency and was a short drive from one of its most famous clients’ homes, Marilyn Monroe.

The old Hollywood-style hangout introduced the sexy cocktail which features vanilla vodka, Passoa passion fruit liqueur, fresh lime juice, fresh passion fruit and vanilla syrup served with a side of champagne.

The fruit-forward cocktail was first concocted by Douglas Ankrah in 2002 at Townhouse Bar in Knightsbridge, London. The Porn Star Martini was originally known as the Maverick Martini after a nightclub in Cape Town, South Africa but was renamed by Ankrah, who imagined it as something a porn star might sip on after a hard day’s work.

According to master mixologist Paul Zahn on hand at the bar, Google search data recently showed that there were more than 18.4 million searches worldwide for Pornstar Martini, with the Pina Colada – top in America – ranking second with 10.5 million searches and the Aperol Spritz in third with more than 8.2 million registered searches.

Porn Star Martini 

3/4 oz. Lime juice 

1 oz. Passoa  passion fruit liqueur

1 1/2 oz. Vanilla Vodka 

1/2 oz. passion fruit puree
