Ah, West Hollywood: Swimming pools, movie stars, and lots of robberies. In fact, with 20 take downs in 30 days, it just might be the robbery capital of Southern California.

Weho Daily reports the robbery surge, including three stick ups over the weekend that KNX 1070 Newsradio reported were possibly committed by the same armed suspects.

But wait, there's more …

Weho Daily says that if areas just outside the city were included in its count it would be higher: Robberies in adjacent areas in the city of L.A. might be connected to some of the Weho heists.

There have been even more robberies on the streets adjacent to West Hollywood in areas in the City of Los Angeles patrolled by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Among those additional robberies may be three robberies on November 7 in LAPD's Wilshire area by the same suspects as the robberies reported on that date here in West Hollywood. They are suspected in an an additional robbery attempt in West Hollywood as well, at Curson and Santa Monica Blvd.

While some of the stick-ups were small-time muggings, at least 12 involved firearms, the publication reports.

Be careful out there. And remember the old adage, “Nobody move, nobody get hurt.”
