A West Hills mom said she killed her three children over Mother’s Day, according to the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday.

Angela Flores, 38, was detained and later arrested after the children were found dead in her home.

As LAPD investigated the incident, with the mom admitting she killed the children with the help of a 16-year-old boy who was also arrested on Sunday.

“Officers arrived at the location and found three juveniles unresponsive inside the location,” LAPD said. “During the subsequent investigation, Flores admitted to killing her children with the assistance of the 16-year-old subject.”

LAPD responded to a 7:40 a.m. call after neighbors described screams coming from the home on the 22500 block of Victory Boulevard.

The children were described as a 13-year old girl and a pair of 8-year-old boys.

Flores was booked on suspicion of three counts of murder and is being held in the Van Nuys jail on $3 million bond. The boy who was arrested in connection with the incident is being held in Sylmar Juvenile Hall with no bail set.

No further information for motive or manner of death was provided by investigators. It is also not immediately clear what the 16-year-old boy’s relationship was to the mother.
